Zoo are not necessary for education.

Zoos and aquariums claim that they are necessary for educational purposes, however, this is not true. There are much better ways to learn about animals than going to the zoo. A great alternative to going to the zoo or aquarium is watching documentaries. Documentaries are usually filmed in the animals natural habitat. This a more ethical way to do research because it is not taking the animal away from its home. Also, you will more than likely get more accurate results because animals in captivity act different due to extreme stress. Therefor, zoos are not necessary for education.
